  1. Hi, My father buys and sells heavy equipment and they are having a company party which my friend and I are going to make the desert for. We wanted to make a bulldozer or excavator cake. This one looks perfect. Could you enlighten me on some of your design secrets or how you made the cake?

    thanks soooo much,

  3. I have been looking all over for a cake mold of a bulldozer or any type of heavy equipment and have been striking out. My fiancé is a heavy equipment operator and so I thought I would incorporate this into his groom’s cake. Since I can’t find a mold I don’t really have anything to give my cake lady as a reference. Would you be willing to share some of your tips???

If so, please email me at tstaggs@kimball.com

    Thanks – The desperate bride.

  5. I work for a construction company. I have been looking to do something like this for work. I haven’t been able to find anything that didn’t look like it was for a little kid until now. I would love to know some tips on how you did this. Thanks a bunch!

  6. I also would love to know how you made this cake. I am hoping to make one for my son’s birthday and yours is the best I’ve seen. Did you have to use pound cake? I am particulary interested in how you made the tracks and the plow! Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance!

  10. I love your bulldozer cake. I have been looking for ideas for a bulldozer cake that I want to make for our neighbors little boy who is crazy about all types of machinery. If you could send me directions asap, as Jack’s birthday is Sept 27th, I would really appreciate it. Great Job!

    • Janet –
I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have, but to simply tell you how I did it…that would be difficult! I am the kind who just looks at a picture, and start carving until I get the look I want. 🙂
