Hi, My father buys and sells heavy equipment and they are having a company party which my friend and I are going to make the desert for. We wanted to make a bulldozer or excavator cake. This one looks perfect. Could you enlighten me on some of your design secrets or how you made the cake?

I have been looking all over for a cake mold of a bulldozer or any type of heavy equipment and have been striking out. My fiancé is a heavy equipment operator and so I thought I would incorporate this into his groom’s cake. Since I can’t find a mold I don’t really have anything to give my cake lady as a reference. Would you be willing to share some of your tips???

I also would love to know how you made this cake. I am hoping to make one for my son’s birthday and yours is the best I’ve seen. Did you have to use pound cake? I am particulary interested in how you made the tracks and the plow! Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance!
